REDBANK – July 7, 2017

As reported in the Hawkesbury Gazette last week, approval for our proposed bridge crossing over the Grose River continues to be bogged down in red tape. We continue to be disappointed in these delays, but are encouraged by Council’s commitment to continue to assess the application by extending the trigger dates in the Voluntary Planning Agreement to allow them more time to review our DA. In doing this, Council has decided not to accept our offer to contribute $23.8 million towards road infrastructure.

There was a concern last week we would end up in dispute with the bridge proposal abandoned. These recent discussions have breathed life back into our proposal and we look forward to working with Council and the Roads and Maritime Services to address traffic congestion in the Richmond and North Richmond areas.
