Redbank Morning Walk — Sydney Polo Club

We hosted a great turn-out for the first Redbank Morning Walk at the beautiful Sydney Polo Club last weekend. Current and future Redbank residents were treated to a guided tour of the club with Georgia Higgins whose family owns the property.

Along the way, Georgia explained the history of the club, how polo is played, and how to maintain the playing fields. She was also excited to talk about the XI FIP World Polo Championship to be hosted by the club in October, with eight teams competing from across the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and Spain.

Our Redbank walkers also had the opportunity to see the enclosed training area where players practice on Penny the wooden horse. The group then treated themselves to freshly picked oranges from the orchard and finished off the morning with a coffee at Four Beans Café.

A special thanks to Georgia for taking the time to show us around the immaculate grounds of the Sydney Polo Club. Tickets are available for the upcoming World Polo Championship on wpcsydney.com

Our next Redbank Morning Walk will take us on a tour of the stunning Mount Tomah Botanic Garden on 9 September at 9.15am – and the registration cost is on us! Stay tuned for more updates on Facebook.
