The Hawkesbury Show 2018

The 132nd annual Hawkesbury show lived up to the hype this year with over 60,000 people attending the three day event. Redbank Communities has continued its proud major sponsorship of this fantastic event showcasing the best the Hawkesbury has to offer and is now one of the largest regional events in the NSW.

The first Hawkesbury Agricultural Show was conducted at Clarendon in 1845. The road from Windsor to Clarendon was filled with over 3000 people on horseback, in carts and gigs or walking to the show. Entertainment and extreme action can always be found at the show but the real focus is always the district’s agricultural heritage. Over the years the show has maintained a high tradition in bringing local produce and livestock of the highest quality together for the view of all. The Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association is proud in being able to deliver an event that showcases the agricultural excellence of our District.

Over 70 lucky Redbank residents were given tickets to the show showcasing the regions best produce as well as arts and crafts, fireworks displays, carnival rides, performances from local schools and over 100 exhibitors. Highlights during the event included wood chopping, racing pigs and the wife carrying competition which attracted the most laughs of the weekend.

The President of Hawkesbury District Agricultral Association Mr. Ross Matheson said, ” We are very appreciative of such partnership with Redbank, and we hope that we provided good entertainment to all the Redbank residents. This partnership gives us an opportunity to showcase to the new and future residents of Redbank what the Hawkesbury community is all about, and we hope to continue welcoming them with bigger and better entertainment in the future.”

Just like the Hawkesbury Show,  Redbank lets you retreat to life’s simpler pleasures — the great outdoors, family and friends. And whether you are one or 100, you are welcome to this family friendly area with open arms.
