Windsor Bridge

The 144-year-old Windsor bridge is one step closer to being replaced with the government nominating contractor Georgiou Group. Roads and Maritime Services has confirmed that the construction of the new bridge will begin in September 2018 after a competitive tender process.

The state government has allocated $21.5 million for the project and this new piece of infrastructure will allow the Windsor bridge to be a great alternate crossing for Redbank residents if you are heading to the Windsor area from North Richmond. The new bridge, with two lanes southbound and one northbound, will increase traffic capacity and complement upgraded intersections on both sides of the Hawkesbury River.
