As another year comes to an end, we reflect on the year that was, and say goodbye to 2019. What a journey we have all had to get to here. From the lows to the many highs - we are so proud of what Redbank and its residents have accomplished in its short history.
From its inception, Redbank Communities has striven to not only create a masterplanned community that the Hawkesbury can be proud of, but one that will be recognised for its innovative design and housing choices in Sydney. We have always stayed true to our vision and word by offering an estate that has block sizes averaging over 650sqm while ultimately being interconnected to over 20km of bicycle and walking trails through 85 acres of beautiful parklands. Redbank’s masterplan and vision are slowing becoming evident to our residents as areas of our heritage protected parklands and bicycle networks are now available for the community to use.
We strive on creating a connected community that celebrates Redbank’s rich heritage, our growing neighbourhood and our shared future. What we pride ourselves on most is we have created a culture where people know their neighbours and feel like they belong. Our community team’s monthly events are continually encouraging community engagement between existing and new owners in North Richmond and it has become something that Redbank is now recognised for in the industry.
We continue to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities and organisations including Pink Fins, Rural Fire Service, Rotary, Variety Children’s Charity and local schools and sporting clubs. This is something we take great pride in and it wouldn’t be possible without all the support our wonderful residents give us in this quest. We are now creating 570 new jobs in construction each year alone and once established will contribute $473 million to the local economy.
To date, Redbank has planted 1,603 trees and over 20,000 shrubs in the estate and we are only a third of the way through the development. Additionally, we have rebuilt and preserved three dams which have become major recreational draw cards for the local community. We feel Redbank and the residents that call Redbank home are passionate about protecting the natural environment and rich heritage that makes the Redbank land unique.
In the years to come we will continue to deliver quality outcomes for our residents including important infrastructure and economic benefits for our growing population. We are proud that every commitment ever made by Redbank has been kept and to date we have completed the following:
We contributed $2.4 million towards the North Richmond intersection which recently completed.
Finally, we would like to thank our homeowners because without you and your support Redbank would not be here today. We are welcoming more of you every week and to see people building their dream homes and moving in is the greatest reward of all. All of us here at Redbank Communities would like to wish you and your loved ones our warmest wishes this Christmas and we hope that the New Year sees your home filled laughter, love and good health. From our whole Redbank team, we want to thank you for being a part of our journey. We are looking forward to another exciting year ahead and we hope you all are too.
“The magic of Christmas never ends and its greatest of gifts are family and friends.”
On Saturday, 7th December we celebrated our 3rd annual “Christmas at Redbank” event with all our neighbours and friends. It was a jolly day at Yeomans park filled with children’s laughter and adults relaxing & catching up with friends, family and neighbours. All the children were anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus, but luckily there was plenty to keep them busy.
We had endless activities including the pretty petting zoo, the jolly jumping castle, fabulous face painting, ballistic balloon art, the mighty mechanical bull and much more.
Once Santa was spotted on the back of the Vintage Bedford truck, the kids went crazy. Santa walked through the park with presents for all the kids. Everyone lined up next to the red carpet to get photos with Santa, telling him what they wanted for Christmas and getting a little early Christmas present from the big man himself.
Volunteers from the Richmond North Public School were working hard to raise funds for their school selling sausage sizzles and drinks. Overall, we were very pleased to be able to raise $755 for our local Primary School Richmond North and loved having them be a part in our Christmas celebration.
It was great to have so many community organizations involved with the event this year. Grose Wold RFS, Kuyper Christian School, Kurrajong North Richmond Anglican Church were all present on the day and helped where they could. Redbank was happy to donate $500 to Grose Wold RFS in this time of need. We were also honoured to have Hon. Susan Templeman MP to join in with our community in this festive time of the year.
There was plenty of ‘selfie’ moments throughout the day, so everyone had their cameras out taking gorgeous photos of their family and friends. We had a #snappedatredbank photo competition on the day and the best photo won a $100 EFTPOS voucher and second and third won a facial/massage voucher from our Gallery resident Kumi from Zen Blissful.
We were so pleased to see so many new families and friends come along to Christmas at Redbank. Christmas is all about spending quality time with family, friends & neighbours. Redbank thrives off all our residents creating an amazing community to live in. We would like to thank all our hardworking volunteers who made the day possible, we couldn’t have done it without you. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The NSW RFS is the world's largest volunteer fire service, with over 72,000 volunteer members. Although the figure includes many inactive volunteer firefighters and all support volunteers, it is still the largest community based volunteer fire service organised into 2,002 brigades (local units) across NSW. The vision of New South Wales Rural Fire Service is to provide…
