What a great time we all had at our second Winter BBQ Night on Saturday 15th June in the spectacular Yeomans Park! It was an amazing night with over 250 members of our community enjoying their time with family, friends and neighbours.
The night started off with guests arriving at around 6pm and being greeted by the fantastic band (MVP) playing all time classics. The kids were having a great time with Ty from Ty’s fit friends playing tug of war, interactive games, mini soccer and jumping around on the jumping castle. Our friends from Grose Wold RFS were there with their fire truck, and the kids loved it!
It was a chilly winter night, but everyone warmed up with a delicious spit roast dinner around the fire pits and patio heaters. After dinner, the kids rushed over to the show area to watch Tony the magician performing his award-winning magic show for all of the Redbank kiddies. There was fire, bunnies, handkerchiefs… you name it!
This was our first ticketed event in Redbank where participants had to spend a nominal amount to gain access. This not only helped us manage catering better, but also through the ticket sales we were able to raise $645 for the local rural fire service. There are many community organisations and charities around us who work tirelessly for the community, and it always gives us great pleasure to be able to give something back to these hard-working volunteers. Moving forward, we will continue raising funds through our events for different organisations in the community.
We would like to thank everyone who came to enjoy a great night with our thriving community here at Redbank North Richmond, and we look forward to seeing it grow with so many more families moving in this year. A huge thanks you to our resident volunteers who work so hard to come and help us make events like this happen.
We can’t wait to see you all at our next community event.
