We regularly hear stories about suburban and country kids making the move to the big smoke to explore opportunities beyond the boundaries of their rural or regional communities. The ambitious are deserting their roots for bigger and better jobs and the excitement of inner-city cafes, bars, and restaurants. What we have seen in just a matter of months with COVID-19 has turned our vibrant cities into practical ghost towns. An increasing growing number of Australians are choosing to call the outer suburbs home, and across Sydney, thousands of people who were used to commuting to the bustling CBD each day are now working from the comfort of their homes. A shift back to suburban living is another unintended consequence of COVID-19 that might be here to stay.
In the past few months local neighbourhoods on the outskirts of Sydney have been springing to life. New friendships are being made and local shops and town centres revived. A new appreciation for small businesses is occurring, while bike paths and parks once occasionally used are now bustling every day. The suburbs are springing into life and people are loving it. North Richmond has been just one of these fringe towns to unlikely benefit from the pandemic. Record numbers of people have come through the Redbank sales office over the past two months and sales have not been stronger in years.
The common thread that has driven this wave of buyers and visitors alike to Redbank has been simple: Why socialise in inner-city cafes and restaurants when you can do it much closer to home? Why commute to work when bosses now accept zoom meetings from home? Why spend a huge amount of money on inner-city housing when cheaper housing, abundant parks and all the facilities and amenities you need can be found in the suburbs? We have discovered a new way of living that is more communal, friendlier and allows space to breathe. If there is one common trait that has marked Australians forever, it is the persistent quest for lifestyle.
Redbank offers all these qualities and more, and though this new lifestyle was forced upon us, we have come to realise there is a better way to spend our lives that delivers better outcomes for more people. At Redbank, we say let the celebration of suburban living continue!

The current situation with the COVID-19pandemic worldwide has taken us all for a roller coaster ride. As an emerging and thriving community, we have stayed connected and united throughout these challenging times to come out stronger on the other side. In our development world, we kept it all business as usual and pushed hard with all the ongoing constructions on site, delivering and registering 37 gorgeous lots in our Ploughmans precinct, and 10 grand homestead lots in our Belmont East precinct.
While COVID-19 was expected to have negative impacts on many businesses, we have been blessed that our sales office is seeing crazy numbers and potential buyers are looking to settle down and build their forever homes in Redbank North Richmond. In the last 6-8 weeks, our weekends at the sales office have been extremely busy, and we have seen record numbers in terms of enquiries, buyers walking through the door, and made a record number of sales.
As published in ABC News on 28th June, Sydneysiders' use of green spaces has increased dramatically during the coronavirus pandemic as people were forced out of gyms and public swimming pools to exercise, a survey has found. Double the number of people used the tracks and trails in Western Sydney Parklands, while the Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan recorded more than half a million visitors during COVID-19 restrictions. Most people who completed the survey said local parks had been "especially useful" or "appreciated more" during COVID-19 restrictions, and almost all said they used public spaces for walking, running, fitness exercise and cycling. In Redbank North Richmond, we have seen the proof of this firsthand, as our parks and open space have been busier than ever before during this pandemic, and with the ease of restrictions, the numbers are already on the rise. There are more people enjoying the footpath, bike tracks and walking trails, more kids are using the playgrounds, and more families are taking advantage of our fitness stations. We have always been big advocates of parkland living, and this pandemic showed all of us the value of having over 85 aces of dedicated parklands within the estate. This has reflected significantly in our recent sales figures, and it is encouraging to see so many young families who bought in recent times speaking very highly of our parks and open spaces.
Though it is great to see so many people enjoying what Redbank’s parks have to offer, we still must take COVID-19 seriously as it is not over yet. We need to be sensible while enjoying the outdoors and maintain physical distancing rules; if we all do our bit, we will get through to the other side sooner.
YEOMANS
It is great to see that Yeomans is very quickly turning into a neighbourhood of its own with many new families moving into their brand-new homes in the last few months. Congratulations to all of you and welcome to the Redbank family! If you have just moved in, please let our dedicated community team know via Facebook or on email. We would love to come and say hello.
Majority of the vacant blocks now have builders on site and even our Yeomans Release 4 purchasers who only registered a few months ago, are not wasting any time either. Please note that we have extended the security camera surveillance until the end of July to provide some extra security for the Yeomans Release 4 lots. We are hoping that by that time, all of you will have your temporary construction fencing installed on your lots to prevent any illegal dumping.

BELMONT
In the last 3 months we have seen a few more stunning homes in Belmont finishing up and we welcome you once again to the Redbank family! If you have just moved in, please let our dedicated community team know via Facebook or email. We would love to come and say hello.
Our newest Belmont East precinct is looking fantastic! Walking tracks are now open which connects Belmont to Yeomans and beyond, and it is good to see many members of our community enjoying it to the fullest.
We have experienced a few big sales recently in Belmont which are on the $900,000 mark, and it feels great to see the strength in this boutique part of the estate. The Belmont precinct in Redbank is a unique destination in the Sydney property market and it is not surprising to see such great outcomes as more and more people are looking for room to grow and space to breathe, and keen on building big ranch style homes in our master-planned estate.
We are still noticing some rubbish on and around the work sites (construction rubbish, drink cans, food packaging etc.) being left by builders and their contractors. We work very closely with the Compliance Team at Hawkesbury City Council, and they will be doing regular inspections on the building sites to ensure rubbish is discarded or stowed correctly. Compliance officers will be issuing infringement notices to untidy work sites.
PLOUGHMANS
Big congratulations to all purchasers in our Ploughmans precinct for registration and settlements of your lots!!! In the last 6 weeks we have seen the Ploughmans precinct selling out completely, which shows the confidence in the estate with large parks, walking tracks, bike paths and many other facilities and amenities that are rare to find in other developments in Western Sydney.
On 16th June 2020 we officially opened our brand new Ploughmans Park which includes a children’s playground, fitness stations and a 1.5 km picturesque walking trail that connects Yeomans Park to our gorgeous Belmont precinct. It is fantastic to see many families embracing the facilities and the park has been mentioned by many other websites and Facebook pages across Western Sydney, including “Hawkesbury Penrith Mums”. Here is a link to the full article:

Majority of the settlements in Ploughmans took place last Friday and we are very excited for you to start your dream homes in Ploughmans. We cannot wait to see designs coming through to our design review team. If you have any design related questions or need guidance, please feel free to reach out to our “Design Review” Team at designreview@redbankcommunities.com.au
Please note that, as all lots have now been registered and most of them are settled, we have taken down the temporary construction fencing in Ploughmans. We highly recommend installing your own temporary construction fencing as soon as you can, to save yourselves from any illegal dumping on your block. We have now also installed two temporary security cameras in Ploughmans, but in our experience, installing temporary construction fencing is the best way to prevent yourself from illegal dumping.
